highlight & contour.

When it came to makeup and getting ready, I knew hustling 3 kids out the door in the morning was going to be tough, let alone trying to get myself put together for work after my third maternity leave. I needed something quick, natural looking, and foolproof. In reality, I needed something I could do in 5 minutes or less. Highlighting & Contouring (commonly referred to as HAC) enhances the natural features and curves of your face.

This beauty line is known for their IIID foundation. The founder & owner Cara Brook, wanted to create an extremely CLEAN makeup that was easy to use, enhanced natural features with a flawless finish, and unlike anything else on the market. She succeeded.

(SEINT is formerly Maskcara, which was rebranded in November of 2020)

natural. enhanced. defined.

So many people wear one colour of foundation, but our faces are not one colour, or one dimension. If you decide to give it a try, I will match you with three different colours; two highlights, and one contour.

As you eagerly await the arrival of your product, there are numerous tutorials and application demos to watch. Many refer to this as "paint by numbers"for your face. This makeup will blend evenly, brighten your complexion, and define the natural features we love, and even neutralize the ones we don't (see colour filtering tutorial). By using colour science and the colour wheel, we can also solve and filter colour issues like rosacea, broken capillaries, and blemishes, instead of applying the same colour over and over while hoping to cover them up.

IIID Foundation by SEINT

What it is

Highlight is a cream foundation that brightens and smooths your skin tone to give your face a luminous glow.

How you use it

Apply Highlight to the bridge of the nose, beneath your eyes and down the side of the nose in a pie piece shape, between your brows, on the chin, and along the jawline.

Why cream is better

Cream foundation can be a very sheer coverage or a buildable full coverage, giving you the flexibility to cover what you want without hiding the things you love. Liquid and powder makeups tend to set, creating a dull and lifeless appearance. Creams act as a second skin. Their silky application and flexible wear create a buttery velvet finish!
